I was working at Grannie's house Monday.  I've been over there a lot since she passed away and yesterday was just like all those other days until we started moving her clothes.  To that point we had only gone through stuff with little or no sentimental value.  When we started going through clothes, the memories started to flood back.  Shirts that I had seen her in thousands of times just broke me up.  Even as I sit here my vision gets a little blurry.

I had heard people say that until you go through your loved one's personal items they aren't really gone to you.  I believe that now.  I was at the funeral and knew that I could not go and visit her any more.  But yesterday as I was putting her clothes into a bag, for the first time it finally felt like she was gone.  I can only imagine what mom was feeling.

Though I still like the sport of basketball...the NBA has now lost all credibility in my mind.  When you have to admit that one of your referee's [at least] attempted to fix point spreads for gambling purposes and then just a few months later report that over half of your referee's were involved in gambling you have a huge problem.  When you admit to all this, and then do not punish the ref's involved in the gambling...you have no integrity.

I'll still watch and I'll still hope the Mavs win.  But whether they do or not, I know that the league they play in has not credibility and therefore no true champion.

---EDIT---

I now hear that the refs involved did not bet on games but were involved in casino gambling.  As long as they were not betting on NBA basketball I don't really have a qualm with it.  But if they are found to have bet on NBA games, then all I said above is again relavent.

I'm not sure how much was left to begin with, but I lost the remaining faith I had in the American Justice System on Wednesday.

I need to tell you something.  I am trying to write it down, but am having a lot of trouble doing so.  It has to do with you, my friends.  I made quite an impact on me, and I would like to share it with you all.  I write this to tell you that I am thinking of you and that I love you all very much.  When/if I can put my experience from Monday morning into words, I will post it here too.

I know it would be better to tell you in person, and if you wish I will do so.  Just let me know.

Have a great day.
